Excellent tour and excellent guide that he spoke Italian. We were picked up at our resort in Marsa Alam by a driver who took us to Hurghada airport. We had an enjoyable day visiting the citadel in Cairo, the Egyptian Museum and the pyramids at Giza. The tour also included lunch at a typical Egyptian restaurant. In the evening they took us to the airport where we took the flight to Hurghada and drove back to our resort in Marsa Alam. Tours to recommend!

This is an 5/5 experience sarwat was our guide for that day his the no.1 guide ever the king of guides his been a guide for 22yrs so he knows all the tricks in the book kept me and my cousin safe, explained what everything means and just a very funny bubbly person again wound defo recommend this. Wonderful experience! Our guide (Abdul number 2) was so attentive, knowledgeable, kind and funny! We can’t recommend him highly enough! Very tiring day though so be prepared (wear comfy shoes). Worth paying the extra for the boat, camel and to see inside the pyramids!

The trip was very well organized, everything on time and with thoughtful care. We learned a lot from our nice guide Nisa.

We loved our trip to Cairo! We were a bit nervous about catching a flight out of Hurghada but everything worked out perfectly. Once we arrived in Cairo, Sawatt picked us up and ushered us through the city with humor and grace. He was a fantastic guide! My favorite part was the morning walk through the city and the falafel breakfast (best I ever had!) It was lovely to see the people who live in Cairo heading to work and school! The pyramids were amazing and if you’re contemplating riding the camels to the perfect spot to see all the pyramids at once… do it! Our Nile River cruise was fun, as well! There was music, dancing, pictures… one of the sailors even danced on the roof! Lovely and memorable experience! Thank you, Sawatt!!!

We had a great daytrip to Cairo. Our guide Nabil was the best - a funny, intelligent and kind man. Told us a lot about the history and brought us too all the famous places. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone looking to see most important things in Cairo.

The service was amazing from start to finish. The transfer minibus was quality and on time. The flights were great. We met the best knowledgeable tour guide Mr Sarwat in Cairo, he was amazing and amusing throughout the day. The barbecue lunch was the best food we had in Cairo, with lovely garden and surroundings and live welcome music playing as we had entered. We also had a boat ride on river Nile. Museum was great also, but the best part was the pyramids at Giza, amazing experience. The horse carts were great fun. We returned on time, with the same driver of the minibus from the airport back to our hotel. Excellent service throughout would recommend this company to everyone.

An unforgettable experience! My husband and I were collected at 3am from our hotel in El Gouna and landed in Cairo at sun rise meeting our friendly English speaking guide Gamal and driver Tariq. We immediately felt comfortable and they expertly guided us for the day, Tariq’s great driving of Cairo and Giza’s roads and Gamal taking care of us and providing us with knowledge and information.. not too much or too little! We shared a lovely breakfast of warm bread and falafel after exploring Khan-al-Khalill, a relaxing boat trip on the Nile, a visit to the Egyptian museum, papyrus shop, delicious lunch, pyramids, camel ride, Spinx and perfume shop. Arriving back to our hotel at 9pm. Everything ran smoothly and we 100% recommend. A must see experience if you visit Egypt. Thank you Book Tours Egypt with special thanks to Gamal and Tariq .. Egypt is safe! I want to write a full review on this excursion so you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into. I feel like previous reviews were not that detailed so made it a little difficult to judge whether or not it was worthy of booking. Just to note this review was written by a 25 year old, accompanied by her 20 year old sister! What happened before the excursion? Shortly after I had booked this excursion I received a WhatsApp message. The message contained the names of those on the booking, where we would be picked up from (our hotel) and then shortly after our airline tickets. The WhatsApp group contained 4 names (besides my own), Asma and Rana were the ones I liaised with prior to going on the trip. The day before the trip we received confirmation of a pick up time. Our pick up time was at 3am and we received instructions as such: “The driver will bring you up to the airport . Then you go to EGYPT AIR desk to do the check in . After that you will fly to Cairo . After your arrival to Cairo the guide will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall in Cairo holding a sign with Book Tour Egypt”. What happened the day of the excursion? At 3am we were collected by a van - the driver had our names in his phone and confirmed who he was collecting and reminded us to have our passports. The van contained other guests on the excursion; please note that as this is a group excursion so there will be other people on the tour. We were dropped off at the airport and followed the instructions on the text messages. As this is a domestic flight we were dropped off right in front of security. You go through (no liquids and flammable items) and then report to Egypt Air and check in the flight. When you do this you receive tickets outbound and return flight tickets! Really important to keep them safe. We waited around 45 minutes before boarding the flight. Airport experience was easy to follow - staff guided you through the process. We boarded our flight and headed for Cairo! Things to note: * Use bathroom in the airport - no need to tip the people working in the toilet. * You are given water on the flight to Cairo. Tour guide and team: We were greeted at Cairo airport by the team. You need to walk out of the airport and they were standing on the immediate left with a sign that said Book Tour Egypt. We met with our English guide and others met with their native speakers (in our group we had French and German). In our group there was 13 people in total. We then all walked to the another van and met with the driver of the day, and shortly began our journey! Day Plan: * Walk around old Cairo * Offered breakfast (falafel and pitta bread) * Optional trip on the River Nile (€10 extra* can be paid in GBP or Egyptian pounds). * Museum Tour (highlights of the important parts and 30 minutes free walk around) * Lunch opposite the pyramids (drinks*) * Pyramids and Sphinx - hop in hop off tour in the van! And optional camel / horse ride €25* * Perfume shop Please note things marked with an * are at an additional cost. Walking around Old Cairo was amazing! To see the locals passing through and hear of the Islamic history of Cairo was an experience! Our tour guide Tharwat was fantastic. He spoke clearly and was so informative about the history of Cairo. Outside before boarding the bus again we had breakfast (falafel and bread - delicious!) and then it was explained that the museum doesn’t open until 9am so we had the opportunity of going on a boat trip on the Nile. The price wasn’t explained very well - you’ll find in Egypt a lot of people initiate costs with GBP or Euros as the conversion from them means a higher return. The total cost was €10 per person (I had euros on me) and whilst it was a brilliant experience to travel on the Nile, I felt like the cost should have been more transparent. We then drove the the museum, tickets are paid for so the tour guides collected and gave us each our tickets. The museum is huge so Tharawat explained that he would do the highlights / ‘must see’ parts and then give us free time to explore. He was a brilliant tour guide, 10/10! So knowledgable, friendly and genuinely cared about our experience. Checking in constantly to make sure we were ok. The museum was fantastic, to see artefacts in real life that I had only viewed in documentary’s or google was a surreal experience. The free time to explore was wonderful - the museum is busy (other people on tours or wondering) so be sure to remember where the tour guide told you the exit / meeting point is. You can use the bathroom at the museum if needed. We then drove for a while to have lunch. The drive allows you your first glimpse of the Pyramids! This was a buffet style restaurant that you could see the pyramids from. The food was poor, not many vegetarian options and it was so busy it was difficult to get food but it was ok. Drinks have to be paid for (we got a mango juice each which worked out to £4 for two). You can also use the toilet at the restaurant. After lunch we drove to the Pyramids. I saw other reviews that said they didn’t get a lot of time wondering around the pyramids and I don’t agree. The English group opted out of the camel / horse ride, so perhaps this is why we had well over an hour to explore, touch and observe the pyramids. It was truly amazing! Once in a life time experience! In regards to the locals around the pyramids offering camel and horse rides etc, Tharawat had told us the best thing to say is two words, thank you. And this worked, I feel like the media have depicted Egypt to be scary and daunting but the locals were friendly and understanding. Yes, a few did come and ask us if we wanted something but after a few simple no thank you’s and generally ignoring them or walking away they weren’t demanding. I can not comment on the camel or horse riding as we opted out of this, but being able to walk around the pyramids freely was amazing. They drop you off at one, collect to go to another and another and then the Sphinx. Things to note: * You are recommended against going into the pyramids as it’s just an empty room. * You are recommended to buy souvenirs at one specific stall as he sells authentic pieces and has been there for 40+ years. * Make sure you have appropriate footwear for walking ( I did 32,000 steps) * If you’re not a fan of the heat bring a hat, scarf or sun cream. * Recommended to dress modestly. From the pyramids you are then taken to a perfume shop. Some members of the tour found this to be pushy and a means for getting more money but I found it to be a wonderful experience to learn about the different scents and aromatherapy. I didn’t feel obligated to buy anything. You’re given a talk about the methods of aromatherapy, given the opportunity to smell various scents and then shown the size of bottles you can purchase. You are provided with a drink. I didn’t feel pressured at all and I valued learning about the history and impact of aromatherapy. You are able to use the toilet here. We then made our way back to the airport, dropping off the guides as we went along. Arriving at the airport we went through security, grabbed a snack from the lounge cafe and waited to board our flight. Remember that when checking in for your flight to Cairo they issue you with your return flight so no need to check in again. We arrived back at the hotel for just after 9pm (they had to drop off others before our hotel). Things to note: If you book for two people you are not guaranteed to be sat together. I was luckily able to sit with my sister but others where separated. The flight is only 45 minutes. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. This was an incredible experience. When booking my hotel in Hurghada I didn’t realise how far Cairo was and I had initially thought I was going to do the coach option. But I’m so glad I didn’t, I couldn’t imagine sitting for those long hours there and back. The flight was quick, transfer process was easy and faultless, the tour itself was fantastic and the guides are so knowledgable and enthusiastic! I cannot fault this tour, there were times we were standing around waiting and this wasn’t because of the tour but other guests on the tour. I would recommend to anyone interested in seeing Cairo to book it! It’s work every penny! From the start to the end there was never a dull moment. Even sitting in the van and passing through Cairo was amazing. Tharawat was a fantastic tour guide and I felt immersed in the history of Egypt. My sister and I felt safe and comfortable throughout the trip, we would 100% recommend booking! Don’t think …. Just book it! Things to remember: * You need your passport and visa. * Bring a small bag for essentials you may need on the trip e.g sun cream, plasters, deodorant, camera … * Water is provided on the plane to and from Cairo. * You have the opportunity for at least 3 bathroom trips - no toilets at pyramids. * Nile Boat and Camel ride is optional. * Bring extra money for souvenirs / drinks. * Walking shoes are recommended. * It’s a long day - take naps in the car between stops if possible!

This experience has been so wonderful. Our guide Mario was well educated in his field and showed and learned us everything that's a must see and know when visiting Cairo. From the Nail cruse to Egyptian musem, Piramides of Giza... Best day in Egypt! Just make sure to take sunscreen if you are wearing reaviling clothes cause the sun is really burning in Cairo. The plain also took of on time so we had a full day experince when visiting Old Cairo, papyrus factory and oil shop and stopped for delicious lunch. This was an amazing experience. We were picked up in Hurgada on time, flew to Cairo for a full day of adventure. The pyramids were the absolute highlight of the day, but the Nile cruise and the Egyptian museum were amazing aswell. Our guide Sarwat was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone was comfortable and had a great time. It’s definitely worth the trip 10 times over!

Me and my husband booked this trip because we came to Egypt, Hurghada the first time. We didn't want to miss the Pyramids and the Sphinx. From start to finish the tour was excellent. We were very grateful for our guide, Sarwat, who provided not only history but useful tips about what to watch out for. The day was full on, started at 3am with an on time pickup from the hotel but it was a mind blowing experience all in all. We didn't just get to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx but got an added experience of visiting the real Egyptian life through the market visit and a little suprise street breakfast. We were looked after very well and felt 100% safe all the time. Door to door for us it was a 19 hour day. Time at each place is limited because of the tight schedule however it doesn't make it less enjoyable. Perfect for first time visit. Tiring day but something that shouldn't be missed.

Had an amazing day visiting the city center of old Cairo, the egyptian museum and the pyramids. The tour was perfectly organized with an on-time pickup at 3am. Everything was very well explained by the guide and we had plenty of time at each stop. Nile boat tour, camel ride and going inside a pyramid were at an extra cost, but reasonable and definitely worth it. Saw everything I‘d hoped for and more! Would definitely do it again :-)

Absolutely loved this trip from the start to finish a lovely day arrived in Cairo met at the airport by our guide who was a fountain of knowledge from start at old Cairo having breakfast by the wall .. then off to the Nile for a little cruise £10 extra per person the crew were entertaining and it’s was pleasant just cold then off to the museum well it’s wonderful full of beautiful artifices and guide took us to the best bits as so busy I could of stayed a lot longer. Then went for lunch which was lovely fresh and busy but organised busy then the highlight the pyramids well I was in awe breath taking So surreal so beautiful the carriage ride was fun although very bumpy the sellers keep on at you to but but you just politely say no then they move on the pictures were great and then the sphinx well yet again a sight to behold just loved the whole day although the driving in Cairo is madness .. Never felt unsettled or uneasy as I was worried to be honest but it was absolutely brilliant day that my son and I enjoyed so much .. thank you see you next year for the valley of the kings please if your think about doing this trip please do you will not be disappointed and Egypt is SAFE .

Excellent trip from start to finish Flight from Hurghada was easy and the meet at Cairo went without a hitch The tour around old Cairo was interesting (although our English tour guide left to go get falafels so we were left with a German tour so could not understand what was been said about the various sights but still worth a look) Then we went to the Egypt museum in Cairo which was huge and could have possibly done with more time to look round Next was a Nile boat trip which was great seeing Cairo and Giza from both sides of the river and our guide took some great pictures of me and my girlfriend Next was an unexpected visit to a papyrus shop where we were served drinks and given a brief demonstration of how papyrus is made followed by the obvious look around the shop and pestered to buy something From there was lunch which was a hot buffet style….. the food was pretty good Then the main event On to the pyramids and sphinx 😊 We opted for the camel tour which was worth the money Again pictures from our guide were excellent and the site itself was amazing, words cannot describe it both in its vastness and awe striking feeling you get from been there All in all this trip is well worth its money and I have already recommended it to friends

We had an amazing, tiring, mental day. Picked up at 2.45am and got back at 9.15pm but was worth every minute. Our guide fahman was funny and engaging. Our group had about 10 in it so not too big. Only downside was we booked an english tour and it was 80% germans on the bus. So while we got english we also had to sit thru the german as well. Highlight was a private tour of burial chamber beside the pyramids, just us 3 english and the guide.
